ATS Origin Portfolio is a set of four Expert Advisors we built ourselves, from the ground up, to be traded together as one portfolio on a single MetaTrader 5 account.
This is version 1.00 — the first public release. Lifetime updates are included: every future revision, and every EA added to this portfolio, reaches you at no extra cost.
What you are buying
Four Expert Advisors, each trading a different symbol with a different strategy, designed to be run at the same time, on the same account. They are not four separate products bundled together — they were selected as a group, and the diversification between them is the point.
- Version 1.00 symbols: AUDCAD, AUDCHF, NZDUSD, EURUSD, GBPUSD
- Built and tested for MetaTrader 5
- Delivered as compiled
.ex5robots with set files and a setup guide - Lifetime updates and future portfolio additions included
How it was built
We used EA Studio — a program we know extremely well — to develop robust, simple entries first. We then applied its grid feature to add a customised grid recovery, so that instead of closing a trade when the original strategy’s stop loss is reached, the position is managed and recovered.
Every strategy then went through an in-house robustness process we have developed over many years of reviewing and stress-testing third-party Expert Advisors and working with strategy builders. It pools the combined experience of our team, and it is the step that removes most candidates before they ever reach a portfolio.
Why a portfolio rather than a single robot
We backtested each EA on its own, and then backtested them combined, to measure the portfolio benefit on drawdown.
Because the four strategies are different and trade different symbols, their equity dips happen at different times. The result is that the maximum combined drawdown only marginally exceeds the largest individual strategy’s drawdown. That improves the return-to-drawdown ratio considerably, and it means a single account can carry more profit potential without a matching increase in risk.
Expectations and risk
We trade this portfolio at low risk, aiming for 4–5% per month across the whole portfolio, and we accept potential equity dips of around 30% along the way.
That figure is not a footnote — it is an unavoidable part of grid trading, and you should be comfortable with it before you buy. A grid recovery holds and manages losing positions rather than cutting them, which is what produces both the smoother equity curve and the deeper temporary dips. Past performance and backtested results are not a guarantee of future returns, and you can lose money trading.
An evolving product
No strategy works on the markets forever. We continuously review how these strategies perform in current conditions against their expected behaviour, across a range of metrics. Updates or additions to the portfolio happen as required, and every update is included for life once you have bought.
How the licensing works
Your purchase gives you a licence key and a number of flexible account slots. The robots check that key before they trade, so the licence — not the file — is what controls access.
What a “flexible account” means
A flexible account is a slot you fill with one MetaTrader account number, and can move later if you need to. You are not locked to whichever account you happen to use first.
- 5 Flexible Accounts — run the portfolio on up to 5 MT5 accounts at once
- 10 Flexible Accounts — run the portfolio on up to 10 MT5 accounts at once
All four robots are covered on every registered account. A slot is an account, not a robot — you do not spend a slot per EA.
Demo accounts use a slot too. A demo account number is registered exactly like a live one and counts against your total, so register the accounts you actually intend to run. If you want to try the portfolio before committing a slot, use the Strategy Tester — backtesting needs no licence at all.
Setting it up
- Download the portfolio from your order, and copy the robots into MetaTrader.
- Open My Account → Licenses, copy your licence key, and paste it into each robot’s Licence Key setting (it is the first setting in the list).
- On the same page, enter the MetaTrader account numbers you want to run on.
- In MetaTrader, open Tools → Options → Expert Advisors, tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL, and add the address shown on your Licenses page.
The robot confirms the licence in the Experts log when it starts. If something is wrong, it tells you what — on the chart and in a message — rather than failing silently.
Changing an account number
Accounts can be changed, within limits that exist to keep a personal licence personal rather than something that gets passed around.
| Cooldown, per account slot | 30 days. Once you set or change a particular slot, that slot is fixed for 30 days. Your other slots are unaffected — each one has its own independent cooldown. |
| Changes per licence, per year | 5 changes across the whole licence, on a rolling 12-month basis. |
| Licence length | Lifetime. No expiry, no renewal. |
In practice: setting an account for the first time is free and immediate, and moving one afterwards is a deliberate act rather than something you can do daily. If you switch broker, or blow a prop account and need to move to a new one, you have room to do it comfortably — and if you ever genuinely run out, contact support and we will sort it out.
Things that do not cost you anything
- The Strategy Tester is free. Backtesting and optimisation work without touching your licence at all — no key, no slot, no limit.
- A short internet outage is fine. Once a robot has been authorised it keeps trading through a loss of connection for up to 72 hours, so a VPS hiccup will not stop your trading.
- Reinstalling is fine. Each registered account may be used from up to two terminals — your VPS and your desktop, for example.
If a licence check fails
The robot stops opening new trades and tells you why, both on the chart and in the log. It does not abandon positions you already have open — existing trades keep their stops and targets and are managed to completion.
Requirements
- MetaTrader 5 (the robots are MT5 only)
- A broker offering the portfolio symbols, with reasonable spreads
- A VPS is recommended, so the robots run uninterrupted
- An internet connection that allows MetaTrader to reach our licence server
Trading foreign exchange carries substantial risk and is not suitable for every investor. Only trade with capital you can afford to lose. Backtested and historical results do not guarantee future performance.
