This is strategy #398 from the ATS Origin Portfolio, sold on its own.

ATS Core EA is a single strategy we built ourselves, supplied as one compiled Expert Advisor with a ready-made set file for each currency pair it has been validated on. You attach the same robot to each pair and load the matching set file, all on a single MetaTrader 5 account.

This is version 1.00. Lifetime updates are included: every future revision of this strategy, and any additional pair we validate for it, reaches you at no extra cost.

What you are buying

One strategy — the ATS Core strategy — applied to every symbol it has been validated on. One robot, one set file per pair: it is a single set of entry rules on several symbols, not several different strategies.

  • Version 1.00 symbols: AUDCAD, AUDCHF — both H1
  • Built and tested for MetaTrader 5
  • Delivered as one compiled .ex5 robot with a set file per pair, plus a 14-page user guide
  • 5 flexible account slots, lifetime licence

How this differs from ATS Origin Portfolio

These are two separate products, and they overlap — so it is worth being precise.

  • ATS Core EA (this product) — one strategy, several pairs. Strategy #398 strategy #398 on every pair we have validated it for. This is the configuration running on our own live account.
  • ATS Origin Portfolioseveral strategies, one pair each. A group of different strategies on different symbols, chosen so their equity dips fall at different times. strategy #398 is one of its members, but the Portfolio does not include every pair this product does.

The Portfolio diversifies across strategies. This product diversifies across symbols only — every position comes from the same entry rules. That is a meaningfully different risk profile, and you should pick deliberately rather than assume one replaces the other.

Live track record

We run this strategy on a real, funded account of our own. It trades the ATS Core strategy only, across the pairs above — it is not the Portfolio account and contains no other strategy. The statistics update automatically:

Backtest reports

Full reports for each validated pair, hosted on our own backtester so you can inspect the metrics rather than trust a screenshot:

A backtest shows how the rules behaved on history that had already happened. It is useful for judging whether a strategy is robust, and much less useful as a forecast — weigh the live account more heavily.

How it was built

We used EA Studio — a program we know extremely well — to develop a robust, simple entry first. We then applied its grid feature to add a customised grid recovery, so that instead of closing a trade when the original strategy’s stop loss is reached, the position is managed and recovered.

The strategy then went through an in-house robustness process we have developed over many years of reviewing and stress-testing third-party Expert Advisors and working with strategy builders. It removes most candidates before they ever reach production. the ATS Core strategy is one that survived it.

Why one strategy across several pairs

A strategy that only holds up on the single symbol it was built for is usually a strategy fitted to that symbol’s history. One that still works when you move it to a related pair has demonstrated something closer to a real edge. Running the ATS Core strategy across its validated pairs also spreads entries out — the same rules fire at different moments on AUDCAD and AUDCHF.

Be clear about the limits of this. Spreading one strategy across correlated pairs is weaker diversification than running different strategies. AUDCAD and AUDCHF share the Australian dollar, so when the AUD moves hard, both feel it at once. If your priority is the smoothest possible equity curve, the Portfolio is the product built for that.

Expectations and risk

We run this strategy at low risk on our own account, and the live statistics linked above are the honest answer to “what does it return” — they move, and we would rather you read them than a number printed on a sales page.

This is a grid strategy. A grid recovery holds and manages losing positions rather than cutting them, which produces both the smoother equity curve and the deeper temporary dips. Expect substantial equity drawdowns along the way — on a single strategy they are not offset by anything else on the account. You should be comfortable with that before you buy, not after. Past performance, live results to date and backtested results are not a guarantee of future returns, and you can lose money trading.

An evolving product

No strategy works on the markets forever. We continuously review how this strategy performs in current conditions against its expected behaviour, across a range of metrics. Updates, and additional validated pairs, happen as required — and every update is included for life once you have bought.

How the licensing works

Your purchase gives you a licence key and 5 flexible account slots. The robots check that key before they trade, so the licence — not the file — is what controls access.

What a “flexible account” means

A flexible account is a slot you fill with one MetaTrader account number, and can move later if you need to. You are not locked to whichever account you happen to use first.

A slot is an account, not a pair. Every pair is covered on every registered account — running AUDCAD and AUDCHF side by side uses one slot, not two.

Demo accounts use a slot too. A demo account number is registered exactly like a live one and counts against your total, so register the accounts you actually intend to run. If you want to try the strategy before committing a slot, use the Strategy Tester — backtesting needs no licence at all.

Setting it up

  1. Download the package from your order. Copy EA_Studio_Plus_398.ex5 into MetaTrader’s Experts folder and the two .set files into the presets folder.
  2. Open My Account → Licenses, copy your licence key, and paste it into the robot’s Licence Key setting on every chart you run it on (it is the first setting in the list).
  3. On the same page, enter the MetaTrader account numbers you want to run on.
  4. Open an H1 chart for each supplied symbol, attach the same robot to each, and load that pair’s set file. The set files carry their own Magic_Number, so the instances manage their trades independently.
  5. In MetaTrader, open Tools → Options → Expert Advisors, tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL, and add the address shown on your Licenses page.

Each robot confirms the licence in the Experts log when it starts. If something is wrong, it tells you what — on the chart and in a message — rather than failing silently.

Changing an account number

Accounts can be changed, within limits that exist to keep a personal licence personal rather than something that gets passed around.

Cooldown, per account slot 30 days. Once you set or change a particular slot, that slot is fixed for 30 days. Your other slots are unaffected — each one has its own independent cooldown.
Changes per licence, per year 5 changes across the whole licence, on a rolling 12-month basis.
Licence length Lifetime. No expiry, no renewal.

In practice: setting an account for the first time is free and immediate, and moving one afterwards is a deliberate act rather than something you can do daily. If you switch broker, or blow a prop account and need to move to a new one, you have room to do it comfortably — and if you ever genuinely run out, contact support and we will sort it out.

Things that do not cost you anything

  • The Strategy Tester is free. Backtesting and optimisation work without touching your licence at all — no key, no slot, no limit.
  • A short internet outage is fine. Once a robot has been authorised it keeps trading through a loss of connection for up to 72 hours, so a VPS hiccup will not stop your trading.
  • Reinstalling is fine. Each registered account may be used from up to two terminals — your VPS and your desktop, for example.

If a licence check fails

The robot stops opening new trades and tells you why, both on the chart and in the log. It does not abandon positions you already have open — existing trades keep their stops and targets and are managed to completion.

Requirements

  • MetaTrader 5 (the robots are MT5 only)
  • A broker offering AUDCAD and AUDCHF, with reasonable spreads
  • A VPS is recommended, so the robots run uninterrupted
  • An internet connection that allows MetaTrader to reach our licence server

Trading foreign exchange carries substantial risk and is not suitable for every investor. Only trade with capital you can afford to lose. Backtested and historical results do not guarantee future performance.
