ModeratorSO lets get started with the Top 10 App.
STEP 1 – Variations on the following process can be applied but currently my opinion of best way to find robust EAs on this app should be as follows:
Focus on OOS trades. The more OOS trades that have been placed on demo that also look to have traded in a similar fashion to the back test over suitable period (1 year is fine for M5 and M15 but use ALL for higher time frame strategies)
Additionally you can also make a habit of downloading the best looking EAs regularly from this app, putting on a demo account and using FXBLUE to track your own statistics as these EAS change regularly, just a suggestion.
STEP 2 – List all your trading EAs in spreadsheet along with the drawdown % as listed on the app for ongoing monitoring
STEP 3 – Connect your account to FXBlue and then check weekly if any of your individual strategies have breached 1.5x the maximum drawdown in your spreadsheet (Always best to have a bit of a buffer)
And that is that 🙂
Also very importantly for risk, make sure that the sum of your risk % profits doesn’t exceed your desired total drawdown. Trading 3-6 EAs at a time would be a good target and replace any that fail overtime with a new one.
Feel free to ask any questions and I will be happy to help!

ModeratorAdditionally I am putting together some resources to help people improve their results with the Top 10 App and Prop Firm Robots App currently and just started a topic that may be of interest as I see you still have plenty time left on your 30 days. https://platform.algotradingspace.com/forums/topic/method-for-profiting-with-top-10-and-prop-firm-app/
Additionally see that I have passed many prop challenges and am a funded FTMO trader and have a lot of experience in making EA Studio EAs profitable over the long term: https://platform.algotradingspace.com/forums/topic/many-prop-firm-challenges-passed-with-ea-studio/

ModeratorHi Marie, sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the robots from the app, please contact [email protected] and they will assist with this request. It seems like you have just started using this app and have quickly decided its not for you. This is fine and just get in touch with support. But can I ask out of curiosity why you are not satisfied and if there is anything I can help with?

ModeratorHi, Additionally here is a collection of screen shots and links to metric where available of may of the challenges I have passed using EA Studio Robots. I would like to draw attention to the fact that none of these are quick lucky passes but are portfolio with a proper edge in the market have many months and many trades with good risk management to allow that edge to come through. I will do my best to help others achieve similar results and answer any questions as best I can 🙂
Also note that all of these portfolios (Typically 5-10 EAs) were the same EAs from start to finish, many drawdowns have been endured but that is just part of trading and with proper risk management and experience these just become expected, normal and not even the slightest concern.
On the very odd occasion an EA that is clearly performing much worse than anticipated and be removed or replaced but really it very hands off trading with a 10 minute check of each portfolio monthly (I trade mostly H1 but for my M15 systems I check weekly as they move faster).

ModeratorHi, what do you mean that they are not working? If you elaborate on this I will be happy to help:-)

ModeratorAlso, you can make a habit of downloading the top EAs from the APP regularly and putting them on your own incubator account and using fx blue to wait until you get your own 20 trade history.
This would let you have additional strategies as they are selected based on best recent performance and so change often but this may let you find others that are actually able to perform well over time.
One demo account should be fine as you can have 99 EAs running and should simply remove any that haven’t shown profitable performance after 20 trades (or something similarly sensible) as maybe a monthly clean up task.
Let me know how that sounds and let me know how you get on? Also if you want to share anything you have done already then we can further discuss and make some tweaks

ModeratorHi Alesamo, yes I agree that the risks of the grid martingales are concerning and I personally step away from these too.
Rest assured I will definitely be working on improving the back end of this tool over time but for now let’s get something that will work better with what we have got.
So for approach one. Let’s try this approach:
1 – Only trade EAs that have an OOS trade count of 20+ trades as shown on the top 10 app
2 – Also instead of changing EAs after a set period of time such as putting them on each week or month, lets trade them until they either exceed their maximum drawdown or consecutive losses according to the 5 year results (could also use a shorter window of 1 year too).

ModeratorHi, can you share a screenshot of both the settings on the expert advisor and of the page in the document please? Also an alternative way is to perform a backtest with 25, 250 and 2500 in this setting if there is any doubt.
