The course Portfolio of Forex Strategies will be updated this mounth with more details about the new tools.
Dear traders. There are two updates in EA Studio.
1. There is the validation. With this tool you are able to bring back old strategies, collections and even folders with strategies and collection and it will update with the recent historical data. Of course you need to have first to update the data. That saves us a lot of time now, so the old collections are just like new – optimized and tested with the robustness tools.
2. The second is the Trading Session. Now from settings you can set up the closing hours of your broker:

Please have in mind that this will affect to all strategies and not to a single one. Also if you change the broker, make sure you correct it and go over the validation to update with the historical data and the closing hours from the new broker.Dear, the Pope, we will update it for sure. We were just waiting to see if this will be the final version. It is actually a very nice tool and it saves a lot of time to update ea fx, collections or even whole folders. Also there is update in the setting with EA Studio. Now is possible to set the weekend closing hours. Please read more about it in a EA Studio topic.
George, the Pope is pretty much correct with that. I have just created such a Strategy and actually it has a pretty nice results. I will see if I can improve it a bit more and I will come back to you and share. Have in mind that such a Forex Strategy will cost you a lot of spread so you need to trade it in a very low spread broker.
Yes we need to. Its quite a huge illusion to put an ea fx on the platform and not to touch it with months.years and to expect profits. Each ea fx needs to be updated with the recent market volatility. Specially when we expect a country to rise the interest rates or to lower them, all ea fx connected with the currency of that country changes dramatically.
I took it as well, Great course! But i think to take aslo few personal lessons with Petko, because i am still beginner with the ea builder. Better to be well educated before get to the life market
I will try to create my portfolio with no pause – i mean not to close it during news and not to do any Fundamental Analysis
Yes, its really fast and when i compare the trades opened in the demo account and after that when i import the fresh data, i see they match, thats all i need see
Great idea that you guys are updating the courses. The last years i have bought many courses for ea fx and few softwares. But so far never saw a course that is updated…so that’s basically pretty cool really
i also purchased the EA Studio. Long time i was looking for a Professional automated Forex trading software and finally i saw this website…i tested it of a 2 months before i took the year subscription and so far so good! i took also the Portfolio of Forex Strategies and now i am building my own…hope in 2-3 months i will be ready to be on the live market. So far the professional automated Forex trading software is great!
Good job for the effort to identify the structure of the magic numbers! As i told you this is our structure, just because we create 100s of EAs weekly. Keep it simple and when you start creating your own EAS with EA Studio or Fsb Pro you can think of your own system that will make your process of selecting the profitable EAs easier. That’s all we are doing – creating many EAs and selecting the best performers. Unfortunately past performance does not guarantee future results. Meaning that many times when we find a good ea performing in past, if fails in the near future, but that is normal on the Forex market
You are right Peter. Also the hot news take no more then 5-10 percent of the time, so we have above 90% to trade on the calm market. Of course there are always the unexpected high volatility news that are not announced in the economic calendars and we can not do anything to take precautions before those. That’s why we always advice to use SLes in the EAs
