ParticipantPetko – I have taken another look at my original question and it now looks like the Portfolio Stats Drawdown does not answer my question. When I add up all the SL of all the strategies within my portfolio the total, in dollars, does not equal the Portfolio Stats Drawdown in dollars, infact, they are quite different. So, evidently the Portfolio Drawdown is calculated differently. So, what I have been doing is taking all the SL from each strategy within the portfolio, as you have shown in your earlier post above, and adding them up manually to determine my Portfolio Risk in Dollars and in Percent. The result is quite different than the Max Drawdown shown in the Portfolio Stats! It would be nice not to have to do this manually but to have the Risk added to the Portfolio Stats.

ParticipantDisregard! The Portfolio Stats, Max DD, answers my question. I think I must have been asleep when I asked the question :o)

ParticipantAnother approach would be to get a course of EURUSD, GBPUSD, and USDJPY and put these into demo accounts for a week or two to see which ones are trading the best in the current trading environment. Then select the best strategies to trade. I chose these three currency pairs as they have the most liquidity which is important when trading EA’s.

ParticipantI trade several assets to diveresify my trading account. However, I recommended the EURUSD course as this is the asset I have had the most profit from. Of course this could change as the trading environment changes but right now EURUSD provides me with the most profit.

ParticipantI create my own EURUSD EA’s for the 1 minute time frame and they work fine. However, I do not use them for more that 5 days. I then create new ones. EA’s do not work over long periods of time as the market conditions change. With EA’s created for the 15 and 60 minute time frames Petko uses them for one month and then creates new ones. When trading the 1 minute time frame EA’s created for this time frame need to be removed and replaced quite often. So I have to ask do the EA’s work for more than one week with the demo account? Were the EA’s created to be used on the 1 minute time frame? Does the real account use the same broker as the demo account?

ParticipantI would use the Top 5 Robots or one or two of the other similar courses, make the money that EA Studio would cost, and then buy EA Studio. In the meantime you can practice getting familiar with EA Studio on the free version. Make sure you can make money using Petko’s Robots before making a major investment!

ParticipantYes if did finally see that after posting my request. However, I don’t see where it would add up all the SL and TP for a portfolio of strategies. Also would like to see this added to EA Studio!

ParticipantPetko’s professional EA algo course describes in detail how he creates his profitable robots. I use his method all the time. Sometimes I modify it by selecting 10 strategies instead of two and put them in a portfolio. I also use his balanced portfolio method all the time. The other thing I do is to recreate new EA’s/robots once a week instead of once a month. I did some backtesting and it shows that overall profit is greater when EA’s are recreated once a week. Hope this helps! If you want to ask me more questions, I will check in once a day and do my best to answer them.

ParticipantAlso, add Stop Loss as a filter to generator, reactor, and validator.

ParticipantAdd Stop Loss in percent to individual strategy Report and and Portfolio Stats. Risk management suggests that each asset traded should not be greater than 2% of account balance. In the case of a portfolio containing multiple strategies it would be nice to know what the total risk is in percent. Knowing what the risk (SL) is in percent is crucial to proper risk management and should be included in EA Studio.
