ParticipantWhile the EA is loaded on the M1 time frame it also does some filtering in the M30 space. Because of the filtering done in the M30 space trades are not taken often. Sometimes it may take more than 24 to 48 hours before the first trade is taken. This then allows for higher quality of trades.

ParticipantQ1 “hi how to average my loss after custom pip minus take average trade some multiplication last quantity”
A1 “Go to Account History tab at bottom of MetaTrader. Right click anywhere and save Detailed Report. At the bottom of the report you can find the average loss statistic.”
Q2 “super trend missing your list”
A2 “EA Studio only uses indicators available in MetaTrader. In FSBpro you can go to the forum and ask for a custom indicator to be built.”

ParticipantI was going to suggest it might be a problem with the broker since everything we tried would not work. I forgot to add this comment in my post showing that the EA had made a trade with no errors. Not all brokers are created equal. Some brokers have large gaps in their data or even missing data. This is why it is best to use Premium data in EA Studio and FSBpro when creating strategies and this is one reason to use EA Studio or FSBpro for backtesting because you can rest assured the backtests are being done correctly.
Happy to hear we finally figured it out! Good learning experience!
Happy trading,
Alan

ParticipantMake sure Demo account has sufficient historical data and lot size is not too large for demo account size. If lot size is too large for Free margin it will not take any trades. Look at Experts tab at bottom of chart window to make sure there are no errors. Make sure the EA is active by looking at the icon in the upper right corner of chart window. Make sure demo account broker allows trading with EA’s. Make sure EA is attached to the right chart and period. Make sure AutoTrade or AlgoTrade button is active. Make sure you installed EA after pressing AutoTrade or AlgoTrade button. If all these things are correct the EA should start trading.

ParticipantUSDJPY took its first trade about 5 hours ago during the night with no errors.

ParticipantYes, I went to the course today and got the EA I am using. I don’t think it is the EA because I can do the backtest with the Strategy Tester, but I will wait for a trade to develop to confirm it is not the EA.

ParticipantInstall EAs on M1 chart. For Home button use the Windows On-Screen keyboard.

ParticipantThat should be plenty! Seems like we have covered all the things that could keep the EA from trading. I will have to think on it. In the meantime, I will let my MT5 run and will report back when it takes a trade. If I come up with anything else that might keep your MT5 from trading I will let you know.

ParticipantHow far back does your M5 candle history go? Mine goes back to May 2020.

ParticipantOK! I have MT5 running. When it opens a trade I will report back.

ParticipantMT5 – USDJPY loaded properly.
Did you try to close MT5 and reopen and then load the EA. Also make sure you have Algo Trading button pressed before loading the EA
Alan Northam
ParticipantThat makes more sense because the FTMO EAs use M1 period and do not have USDJPY. I thought you might be referring to the FTMO EAs as this is what the majority of traders are asking questions about lately. Let me look into this and I will report back in an hour or so!
